A Movie made in 1989 with a 10 millions dollar budget. It is about a Ex-teacher becoming a principal at the state`s (unknown state) Lowest ranked school. Problem is to rid the school of gangs and drugs before it improves on its test grades. When the tests come in and grades arent excellent the school board tries to fire him, And they arrest him during school. So the school board starts a meeting and EVERY parent comes. The Principal has stopped gangs and has removed drugs from the image. The Parents are loyal to him for being on a personal level. The students chant and march all the way to the board house where jails are. EVERY single student shows up, (know me and dad are saying "Give him back his job already, If he can get the whole student body of the school to show up, just give him back the job") So they bring him outside. He winds up getting them to sing the school`s song...or something, Any way i rate it a 10 out of 10. I know i didnt see much. Heres what i do know, we need principals like this. Principals who go on a personal level with the students. Guess what folks...ITS BASED ON A TRUE STORY!!! I truthfully love the movie. i like how the ideal of a EX- Teacher becoming the principal of the school he was fired out of to see it in a declining state, then working to make sure they get good even if its Contray to what is usual.(unorthodox)
School boards dont like it, even though its out of the box thinking. So yes the movie which is based on a true story is extremely kool. So go check it out!
